De Dood is het archetypische principe dat te maken heeft met transformatie, bevrijding en opnieuw geboren worden. De Dood is het symbool van het oude dat moet sterven om het nieuwe geboren te laten worden.

Op de tekening is een doodshoofd afgebeeld. Een grimmig beeld, maar uit de oogkassen groeien bloemen en uit het voorhoofd komt een bloem met een foetus : symbool van nieuw leven. De sikkels bovenaan zijn werktuigen voor de oogst. Alleen door het koren af te snijden kan de oogst binnen worden gehaald.
