Introducing microscopic life forms from marine waters.

When you walk down the beach it is great fun to collect shells and other remains of oceanic creatures. Studying living sea life is even more fun. Just try to find a little harbour or tide pool and you can get as close to marine creatures as possible. To study microscopic marine life you can use a plankton net (a very fine meshed net) or scrape the growth from jetties or poles. Floating platforms that raise with the tide are good collecting spots because they don't run dry at low tide. Let's dive beneath the waves to examine the larve, crustaceans, algae and other creatures that inhabit the sea.
