Professional Management Training Programme

Course description
The four-week core programme consists of modules 1-5 plus one additional module. Each module consists of 3 days training combined with 2 days practical work as well as regular excursions. The six-week extended course consists of modules 1-5 plus 3 additional modules. Tailor-made programmes can be arranged to meet the specific training needs of middle-management groups from one organisation.

Certification
Certificate of Attendance from the International Training Centre for Women (ITW) will be awarded to all particpants who successfully complete the Professional Management Training Course.

Basic concepts

Skill building Focus The PMT programme incorporates a highly practical approach. Therefore, course enrolment is limited to maximise the benefits of the (inter)active learning techniques, workshops, practical training work visits and professional excursions.

Experienced and qualified staff provide the participants with individualised attention catering to their personal needs in management training. The course duration is from 4 - 6 weeks and the language of instruction is English. Upon request, tailor-made courses can be designed to suit the training needs of middle-management groups from one organisation.
In special cases, interpreter services can be arranged.

Business English for women: A comprehensive 12 week course covering theoretical and practical aspects of Business English: costs $ 2000.

Work through Empowerment: A comprehensive 12 week course covering theoretical and practical aspects of Business and Communication skills: costs $ 2000.

Certificate

Participants who achieve the required standard at the end of the course and after 100% attendence, ITW will provide a Certificate of Attendance during the Certification.

Application procedure

Courses: The 4 week courses are regular, starting the beginning of the month

Educational Requirements:
B A Degree, or equivalent
Basic knowlegde of English

Professional experience in management function:
minimum of 2 years

Application for admission
An application is made by sending the Professional Management Training Course Application Form to The International Training Centre for Women. The address can be found at the contact page. Only fully completed forms will be considered.

Deadline for application
Applications should reach I.T.W. two months before course commencement date.

Confirmation of admission
Confirmation admission of I.T.W.'s Management Training Course will be sent to applicants at least one month before course commencement date. Applicants require an official admission letter from I.T.W. in order to apply for a Visa before leaving for Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

MCPayment of Course Fee
On receiving the official admission letter from ITW, applicants are requested to make payment in full via bank transfer to the ABN AMRO bank, account 49.16.87.923.
VISAVISA or MasterCard accepted, please send card number and expiration date.
Payment by US$ (Dollars) Traveller's Cheques or International Cheque is also possible.

ITW remains the right to cancel any application when the payment has not been received. In exeptional cases a deposit will be accepted, the balance to be paid in full on arrival in Amsterdam. A cancellation fee of US$ 50 will be charged.
ITW must receive notice of cancellation at least 15 workingdays before commencement date of the course. If there are less than 15 workingdays before commmencement date of the course any deposit will be retained by ITW or an additional US$ 200 (Administration costs) will be charged.

IMPORTANT
The process of obtaining a visa in order to enter the Netherlands is quite lenghty. Please make your application to the nearest Royal Dutch Embassy as soon as you receive an official letter of Admission to the Training Programme from ITW.

Training fee and other expenses

The regular 4 week Management Training Fee is US$ 3.000.
This includes lectures and practical training, course material, professional excursions and 2 sight seeing excursions, Welcome reception, Certification reception, Certificate of Attendence, Farewell Lunch/Dinner.

Expenses not included are

For groups of 5 or more an interpreter service can be arranged. The charge is US$ 100 per particpant requesting the service.

Course fee for 6 week Programme and individual modules on request.

Fellowships

Quite a number of international and national organisations provide fellowships to students from developing- and Eastern European countries. The fellowships usually intended as a substantial contribution towards most basic expenses but do not cover all costs in full.

United Nations Agencies
United Nations Development Fund (UNDP) representatives in each developing country may be able to give information on appropriate projects being carried out in that country for which there may be funds reserved for training abroad in the relevant field(s). More information about United Nations specialized agencies fellowships in developing countries can be obtained from:

World bank and Organisation of American States
Travel grants to citizens of member states of the Organisation of American States, OAS, may be awarded by:

OECD
Fellowships to citizens of Greece, Turkey and Ex-Yugoslavia may be awarded by: The European Development Fund (EDP)
African, Carribean and Pacific (ACP) countries signatory to the Lome IV Covention may receive fellowships for their citizens from the European Development Fund (EDF). For countries, which have relations with the European Community, the EC delegate can provide information on how to apply for EDF fellowships through the local government agency appointed to nominate candidates.

Trans-European Mobility Scheme for University Studies (TEMPUS)

Under its Action 2 Programme, The TEMPUS scheme offers fellowships to students from a number of Eastern European countries for training assignments in the European Community. Information and application forms can be obtained from the local TEMPUS offices in the respective countries or the central office in Brussels:
