About ITW

History

The International Training Centre for Women (ITW) is an independent, non-governmental organisation run by and for women. It was founded in 1990 to address the needs of women worldwide in the area of management and entrepreneurship training, skill development, consultancy and research. Since the beginning, ITW has combined sound programming with a vision to enhance and strengthen the economic as well as decision-making position leading to greater gender equity and the empowerment of women.

Aims and objectives

The general aims of ITW's training programmes and projects are to enhance the role of women in management positions and to offer practical solutions and strategies for addressing the challenges encountered by women in professional life, particularly the economic, profit-making sector. ITW's mandate

To promote the successful development of women managers and entrepreneurs worldwide;
To promote the development of women's economic autonomy worldwide through training, skills development and consultancy programmes;
To promote greater gender equity in the workplace and home.

Private and public institutions, organisations and industries seeking to upgrade management quality through professional staff training;
Middle managers who seek to improve their organisational capacities in leadership, planning, conflict resolution, time-management, communication monitoring and assessment skills;
Experienced professionals seeking further career development and skills upgrading.
