A comment to John DalyOn a site of John Daly a comment was made on data of De Bilt. The claim was made that due to processing of the data a false picture was created and an "artificial temperature rise" was created. In the picture below (received by e-mail from Hans Labohm, Clingendael) this is shown. |

The red line is the "GISS unadjusted" data set. The blue line is the "GISS adjusted" data set. John Daly claimed on his site that the apparent temperature rise was caused by the adjustement methodology. In his initial picture the black line was not included in an issue of "station of the week" on his site. I sent an e-mail to Hans Labohm with the data set given by the KNMI, De Bilt. This was forwarded to John Daly, and is shown in the black line. This data set is present on a part of the KNMI site. I was informed by the KNMI that these data were unfiltered raw data.
A warning is present on the KNMI site that these data are not homogeneous, due to small replacements
of the station over time. E.g.: If there are trees around a replacement of a couple of hundreds of meters
can already make some difference. |
