An example of rubbish on solar spots
Below an example of rubbish is shown which was presented at a conference of Oil & Gas
exploration people.
If I compare this graph with the preceding ones in the small item on solar spots
a couple of thoughts spring
into my mind:
- It only looks at the period from 1900.
- It took a 50 year average (Why? To get the desired "result"?)
- It did not make comparisons with other data sets containing older data.
It is quite clear. This is an example of fuzzing around with (not even totally correct) data
in order to obtain a
desired result.
