Nicole Wijnen studied Opera at the Sweelinck Conservatorium of Amsterdam. She was taught by Charles van Tassel and from 1992 till 1995 by Kevin Smith.

This wonderful enchanted lady was a part of an operaclass for three years and performed in 'Albert Herring', 'di Figaro', 'Cosi fan Tutte' and 'I Capuletti e i Montecchi'. Under direction of David Prins she performed as Monica in 'The Medium' of Menotti, which a radioprogramme was made of for the Vara in Januari 1995.

In April 1995 Nicole performed as Romilda in the opera 'Xerxes' at the Parkopera in Amsterdam. Still she does recitals in which she the reportaire of opera operette and musical combines. Since July 1995 she performed in the ensemble of the 'Phantom of the Opera'.
