Lovely Mezzo soprano Maaike Widdershoven was born on Februari 14th, 1969. She studied two years Light Music at the University of Utrecht .

After this was taught Classical singing by Eugenie Ditewig. In June 1995 she finished Cum Laude as musician. Under direction of Kenneth Montgomery she sang in 'Le Nozze di Figaro' and in 'die Zauberflöte' of Mozart.

She still does recitals in which she sings works of Wolf, Ravel, Bernstein and Britten. In August 1993 she started in the ensemble of the 'POTO - Phantom of the Opera'. In October 25th 1994 she starred first time as Chrstine Daaé. As alternate she performed this role for over 300 times.
