Seto Porcelain by
Kawamoto Hansuke

Like so many other kilns started the Seto potters in early Meiji period to make ceramic objects for the Western market.
They send objects to different World Exhibitions in Europe and the United States.
Most Seto porcelain is in the typical blue and white palette.
The vase and pitcher I show here looks like experimental pieces.
They bears the mark of the well known Seto potter Kawamoto Hansuke.
